SWAG

SWAG was a Nashville based band made up of members of The Mavericks, Sixpence None The Richer and a few other musicians. The group was formed in 1996 by Robert Reynolds (The Mavericks and The Road Trippers) and Jerry Dale McFadden (Sixpence None The Richer and solo artiste) when they were together touring with The Mavericks. Robert and Jerry Dale would write songs while on the road and would also share their interest of pop music - particularly 60's 'Brit Pop' music. Ken Coomer and Doug Powell soon joined the group and together they wrote more songs and soon went into the studio to record them! The band get together whenever they can to record or play live concerts in the Nashville area. Some of the other artistes that have recorded or performed on stage with SWAG include Tom Petersson (Cheap Trick), Warren Pash, Paul Deakin (The Mavericks), Rick Neilson (Cheap Trick), Scotty Huff (The Havana Horns), Richard McLaurin (Farmer Not So John), Brad Jones, Tom Lewis, Bill Lloyd, Sean Kelly (Sixpence None The Richer) and Kenny Vaughn.

In Spring 1999 SWAG released a red vinyl single on the Diesel Only label called 'Sweet Lucinda' and the b-side is called 'Every Little Truth'. Sweet Lucinda was written about Singer/Songwriter, Lucinda Williams. The four songs on the 'Different Girls' EP were also released on SWAG's debut album Catch-All. Visit The Hanmade Website SWAG Discography page to find out more about SWAG's releases.
