Donny Osmond live at Warwick Castle

11th July 2004

On Sunday 11th July I went to Warwick Castle to see Donny Osmond! Absolutely brilliant - Amazing singer who puts on a great show! Bags of energy. We weren't that far from the front, but everyone stood up - So we couldn't see much! Lovely back drop at the Castle. Really beautiful grounds - Perfect for a concert! Jimmy Osmond was in the audience too. You could tell that there were lots of fans from the 70's - Many dressed in floppy hats and Donny T-Shirts - Shouting 'We want Donny'!" The lady behind said about seeing The Osmonds at Gatwick Airport. Highlights for me included 'Love Me For A Reason', 'Puppy Love' (I rang Mum up to hear this and for some of the time the network was busy!!!!!! Everyone must've been doing the same!), 'Would I Lie To You', 'Any Dream Will Do' (Complete with technicolour dream coat), also a beautiful song that he had written about his kids (they played old cine movies and showed photographs of his Mother and family during this song on the big screens), '12th of Never', 'Don't Dream It's Over' and 'Crazy Horses'. His sons joined him on stage. They go to University, but were out on the road with 'dad' for the summer break. We stood at the back for a bit, but then went back to our seat for the second half. The lighting was really effective during the second half - When it had eventually got dark. As Donny said, it's all he knows, he's been doing it all his life - Which shows - A true performer!:-)
It was quite spooky walking through the castle grounds at night. Definitely wouldn't go to the Ghost Tower!!!! Nice place for a concert though - Would definitely go again! Beautiful evening!
